This communication campaign is funded by the European Union (EU) as part of the European Union Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) project. It aims to raise awareness of climate change among young people aged 15-29 in Egypt and Morocco, with a thematic focus on water scarcity.
The impacts of climate change because of greenhouse gas emissions are becoming increasingly apparent, and different regions of the world will face their own unique, but ultimately connected, consequences of climate change.

Water scarcity is emerging as one of the most significant impacts of climate change in the MENA region, and the UN estimates that by 2030 both Egypt and Morocco will begin to deal with the tangible impacts of water scarcity. Concrete and coherent collective action is required to mitigate these impacts.
In this context, it is important that people are equipped with the knowledge they need to be able to support this global, concerted effort. This is especially true for young people, as it is this generation which will be required to deal with the long-term consequences of climate change.
